I had Laser eye surgery back in January or 2007 and I have to say that I'm still surprised every day to wake up to great vision. Before having the procedure, my vision was really bad. In fact, if I was to get up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom I couldn't do so without my glasses. So I'd be fumbling for them on the nightstand all of the time, and if they had fallen off, then it would result in a few minutes of desperation as I try to find the only thing that was standing between me having an uneventful trip to the bathroom and stubbing my toe in the process.
Thankfully, I discovered contact lenses during my teenage years, and although some people have a problem with them or don't find them comfortable, for me, they were a god send. I started wearing glasses at the age of 10 years old, started wearing contact lenses when I was fifteen, and finally tok the plunge to get Lasik at the age of 32.
The eyes are the windows of the soul, and there is a lot of truth to that. Many of us take our vision for granted, but if you don’t take proper care of your eye health you can certainly run into issues in the future. Practising proper eye care, as well as taking measures to prevent and seek out issues regarding your vision, is the only way to ensure your vision will last a life-time.

I
decided to create this site because I had Lasik in 2007, and because
the experience is life-altering, as well as kind of scary, I thought
that it could be a good idea to let others know what to expect if
they decide to head down the same path as I did. The surgery
literally changed my life, because I started having problems with my
vision at the age of nine, and every year my eyes became weaker. This
frightened me both as a child and as an adult, but thanks to Lasik I
can now see better than I ever could for almost thirty years. The
experience also allowed me to realize just how much we all take our
vision for granted, because without it, we would have to adopt an
entirely new way of life. My goal is to provide a site that will
allow people to find the answers they are searching for about Lasik,
as well as other eye issues, such as glaucoma,
and catracts.
Due to my journey with laser eye surgery I can inform those who are
curious about the procedure about what to expect as far as how long
the surgery will take, or even how long it will take for their eyes
to reach their full potential. I encourage my readers to ask me any
questions that they may have about laser surgery, either by asking in
the comments section, or by contacting me through the site.
I
hope you get something out of this website, as I have put a lot of
effort into it, and I also hope that you take care of your eyes,
because once you develop problems there may be nothing that can be
done in order to get them healthy again. This includes regular eye
exams, as well as caring for them in other ways such as giving them
enough rest, keeping them clean, and preventing them from becoming
dry.
Keep
your eyes healthy, and keep them extraordinary.
